We have all heard about secluded locations around the world catering to the rich, famous, and individuals with inside knowledge on the travel industry. Haven't you ever wondered where some of these places are? Enclosed is a list of out-of-the-way places in the Caribbean.

Bequia is part of the Grenadines, a collection of 32 islands west of Barbados. This island is the second largest of the group. However, it is still only 7 square miles in size. Most of the population resides in the capital Port Elizabeth and Paget Farm. Some popular activites on this island include diving, scuba, and fishing.

Bequia has remained relativity unspoiled and semi-undiscovered. If you wish to visit this island, you will have to land in Barbados since there in no international airport in Bequia. From here you will need charter a flight to Bequia. Just remember, there aren't many motels and resorts there. Check your reservations before you arrive. If you are looking for a quiet out of the way place to visit, Bequia may be for you.

Vieques is a small island eight miles east of Puerto Rico. This island measures 21 miles long and is only 4 miles wide. The main towns on this island are Isabel Segunda located on the north side of the island, and Esperanza to the south. In the last few years this location has become very popular, attracting various celebrities to its cities. Vieques doesn't have many resorts; most visitors here choose to rent a home during their stay. The number of restaurants is increasing giving visitors more dining options. You wont find any direct flights to this island.

To reach it you fly into San Juan, Puerto Rico. Once there you have the choice of a ferry ride or a 20 minute flight to Vieques. If you plan to explore the island, you will need a rental car to visit the outlying areas of the island. Some activities here include boating, nature tours, and horse back riding. The tourism is growing fast as this island become a popular vacation spot.

Saba is the smallest island among the Netherlands Antilles. This island has an area of five square miles. According to the 2001 census the population of Saba was 1,400. Because of it's mountain terrain, this island is known as "The Rock." Saba is also known as the sister island to St. Maarten.

This is a quiet tranquil semi-undiscovered island. Saba is known for it's hiking, scuba diving, and snorkeling. Because the terrain is mountainous, there aren't many beaches on this island. This island can be reached via airstrip from St. Maarten. As far as accommodations, there are around twelve hotels and resorts on Saba. When you plan a trip or visit here ask about The Queens Garden; this is a well known luxury resort here. Because this island is fairly new to the tourist industry, the amount of visitations is still relativity low. However, Saba is increasing in popularity.

St Barts has a land area of eight square miles and the population was 8,400 in 2006. The capital is Gustavia, which is also it's main harbor. This is the only Caribbean Island to have been a Swedish colony for any length of time. Like many other islands, St. Barts is blessed with beautiful beaches. Of the islands twenty plus beaches, several are considered especially inviting. On the west edge is Colombier beach and on the south side is Saline, to name a few. The island is accessible via small plane or ferry.

St Barts is considered to be the play ground of the famous. it is the place to be to see celebrities and be seen. It is an exclusive island for the well known in the world. Although this island is only 10 mins from St Martin, it feels like it is a world to itself. St. Barts is expensive, and it has a party atmosphere. If you want to get a look at some famous personalities this is the place to be.

The island Anegada is in the northern most part of the British Virgin Islands, and it is the second largest island at fifteen square miles. Anegada is also the most sparsely populated of the big islands. Although a ferry service and a small airport makes getting there convent, this island feels like it is a world to itself. Anegada is a haven for beach lovers, nature lovers and fly-fisherman.

The remoteness of this island is one of its perks, as most tourist come here to relax. The northern part of this island is known for it white sandy beaches, and the west end is known for its salt ponds that covers much of the west end. There is also a thriving exotic birds population too. This island is semi-undiscovered and it has few hotels and guest houses. If you are into nature and you like solitude Anegada may be for you.

Virgin Gorda is part of the British Virgin Islands, and is the third largest of the group at eight square miles. This island was recognized in the 1970's as a good tourist spot. It still isn't over developed giving it a pleasing intimacy. The southwest section of this island is called the valley. This is an area of gentle hills with businesses and various services in the area of Spanish Town.

The seascapes are covered with granite rock which provide a dramatic background for the beaches, resorts and restaurants there. Virgin Gorda has a mountain interior, with the island going from sea level to about 1400 feet at the mountain's peak. This island is accessible via small plane or ferry. One of the main attractions located here is "The Bath." This is a major attraction for the whole British Virgin Islands. The usual activities are available here including including sailing, fishing, snorkeling and scuba.

Curacao is an island located in the southern Caribbean 35 miles north of Venezuela. This island is outside the hurricane belt, so hurricane season is not a concern there. It is the largest of the "ABC's" Aurba, Bonaire and Curacao.Like it's sister islands it is considered a transcontinental island. Curacao is part of South American, but it is considered part of the Caribbean too.This island has a land area of 171 square miles, and as of January 2009 it had a population of 142,000. In addition, Curacao's location has made it an important crossroads for international business and world affairs.

This island boast beautiful beaches on it's southwest, and this island has a variety of tropical flora and fauna growing on it's hilly terrain. Many species of flora are found in Christoffel park, a nature preserve there. The people are said to descend from over 40 different ethnicities. Therefore, it is not surprising the natives of this island are multi-lingual speaking English, Spanish and Dutch.
